I’m here
She whispered as she looked in the mirror
I’m here
She sighed as her hands landed over her bare chest
I’m here
She declared as her towel unraveled around her waist
I’m here. And I’m not going anywhere.
Tears came streaming down her cheeks, nose and neck as she continued starring
Conflicting tears of fear, anger, sadness and grief…for a love that felt just out of reach
So she went out to seek it, believing she had forgotten it somewhere…out there
For a Love lost between pleasing, performing controlling…hidden beneath the sheaths.
Yes, she lit up the room with her words, her flare, her smile, and yet…
Beneath it all… a part of her was Longing to be met
With more depth, more intimacy
To witness the wonders and magic of her ever-changing energy…oh what a Mystery…
And here she is, finding what she was searching…in the mirror

There is no denying escaping has been her favorite game.
Running toward the illusion of connection, love & acceptance and away from pain.
Yet the more she ran away, the more she desired to return.
To return here… To the woman in the mirror.
The one with bloodshot eyes,
The one with a watery nose,
The one with quivering lips,
The one with dimples and wrinkles.
And this time…she chose differently.
I’m here she confirmed as she leaned forward, her breath fogging up the mirror.
And I’m not going anywhere.
